  • Promote excellence in the care of families with children with Gastroenterology/Nutrition illness

Our Goals:

  • To promote nursing research and publication of findings

  • To promote education for patients, families, nurses, technicians, and physicians.

  • To establish standards of practice

  • To create a pediatric Gastroenterology/Nutrition network.

  • To support role development through attendance and participation in conferences and development of teaching materials.

Some of the benefits of APGNN membership include networking with nursing colleagues with in the area of pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition, professional development and maintaining current knowledge in the field. One of the most notable activities is the annual meeting which takes place simultaneously with the annual North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition (NASPGN) meeting. We share a strong professional relationship with our Physician colleagues and strengthens it through participation at their meeting and as members of several of their working committees.
